Psychological Testing
Psychological testing identifies very valuable information about the way an individual thinks, feels, and behaves. Psychological testing can provide a deeper understanding of overall cognitive ability, behavioral tendencies, problematic patterns, thoughts, personality traits, and unknown factors contributing to distress and discomfort. Psychological testing allows an individual to gain new insight about themselves, including strengths and challenges, motivations, interests, and traits that can enhance personal growth.

Psychological testing can create a “treatment roadmap” by helping to clarify a diagnosis, by identifying effective treatment targets, and by guiding the creation of a custom-tailored treatment plan. Psychological testing can also be used when treatment has stalled and no longer seems to be helping by identifying the factors and obstacles that are preventing progress and allowing for the adjustment of the treatment plan.
Initial Session Telehealth Diagnostic Interview
(60 min): $175

During this time, a thorough assessment of one’s background is conducted. Information regarding educational experience, family history, and social functioning is gathered. Informal behavioral observations are documented and any past testing or evaluations are discussed. This step is critical to clarify the questions to be answered by testing, to determine if testing is the appropriate course of action, and to identify the instruments to be used.
All psychological testing services are fee-for-service and will not be submitted to insurance by River Road Psychiatry, LLC. Superbills/patient statements are available on the patient portal. All fees are due at the time of service.
